Enhance Machine Learning and Data Science Model Consumption

Why Are We Building This?
To help our customers deliver sophisticated analytics to everyone in the organization, we are focused on enabling the consumption of ML models within Oracle Analytics.

What is integrated data science?

Oracle Analytics is a platform for consuming ML models. To provide our customers with more comprehensive analytics capabilities, Oracle is investing in ML integration. The integrated data science capabilities that are part of the product roadmap will enable our customers to do the following:

  • Use an existing ML model to run against your data. For example: to predict the likelihood of a customer churning within the next three months, the ML model can generate a churn indicator that is stored in the dataset. That model may come from a model management repository in your environment.
  • Explore your data by interactively applying a model to your dataset, viewing the results, and/or comparing model outputs.
  • Test your own models by using your data to train these models through a data preparation/data flow activity.
  • Run simple ML tasks within the Oracle Analytics framework.
  • Integrate with both Oracle Data Science Cloud and third-party workbenches. This includes the ability to send identified data to the model for analysis.
  • Execute auto-ML capabilities (delivered with Oracle Analytics) such as explaining: a data set, an attribute and trend, and a derived measure/trend. (For more information, see the Smart Data Discovery section.)

How does this benefit you, the customer?

To predict results, better understand your data, and train models with rich datasets, you need to be able to use ML models within an analysis framework. Integration of data science and analysis into one platform enables richer insights and better predictions.
