Why Are We Building This?
With our deep understanding of business processes and applications, Oracle is focused on helping customers unleash new opportunities faster. As SaaS adoption accelerates and application data proliferates, this challenge becomes more difficult to solve. Handcrafted data models are time consuming to construct and expensive to maintain. Without curated data models, data silos become pervasive, increasing complexity and inhibiting data insight.
Prebuilt analytic data models accelerate the delivery of integrated, multisource analysis on large volumes of operational data being generated from multiple Oracle SaaS applications. These models are currently being developed to integrate multiple Oracle SaaS sources together.
For ERP, there will be prebuilt analytic data models for general ledger, payables, and receivables. Some of the basic, best practice metrics will include: balance sheet, profit and loss, profitability analysis, liquidity analysis, supplier balances, payments, and invoices as well as customer balances, payments, and invoices. Over the long term, prebuilt analytic data models will be built for all major Oracle SaaS applications. These will include:
Prebuilt analytic data models shorten development cycle time frame, lower ongoing maintenance costs, and provide a scalable platform for deploying analytics across the enterprise.
