With modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment, BRK provides water and sewage services management and develops environmental solutions for a wide range of demands.
The company has on-site teams and projects in several parts of Brazil, yet all monitoring was performed via Excel spreadsheets. It became a key focus for BRK to find a tool to optimize these processes. In addition to improving project efficiency, BRK needed to create a structure that would enable sustainable and controlled growth. This included prioritizing investment areas with the highest financial return, in accordance with contractual commitments with the Brazilian government.

Why BRK chose Oracle
After evaluating other technology options, BRK selected Oracle Primavera Cloud for its robust feature set. Oracle Primavera Cloud would also enable organized information monitoring and the ability to integrate with the company’s enterprise resource planning tool.
With Oracle Primavera Cloud, BRK has access to all project information in the same integrated, collaborative, and online tool.This enabled a better audit service, because the data extracted is traceable and validated with a systematic approval flow. As a result, the company enjoyed gains in productivity and standardization.
Previously, BRK had to consolidate and standardize 22 spreadsheets to integrate data into its business intelligence tool. It also took a week to receive and standardize the spreadsheets to ensure that the business intelligence tool could extract the information. Any inconsistencies meant that the process wouldn’t work. The company now has an established monthly routine to update the business intelligence system.
BRK also realized greater precision in the planning stages and in the preparation of budget and monthly forecasts, as well as better monitoring of critical execution paths to establish action plans. This is an important gain, especially for end-to-end planning on a single platform.

BRK selected TRI as its implementation partner. TRI contributed from the functional specification all the way to the integration execution. The project lasted a year and a half and was conducted during the pandemic.
