Product Description:

The OCI Console is the Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tools. This includes the front-end user-facing web pages which are built with a internal component library framework. This VPAT covers the web pages for these generally available services:

OUI-764 - Some components in the current design system display with an insufficient contrast ratio. These include: status jewel, input text placeholder, search box, and the charting library. As this occurs in the component libraries, any page that uses one of these components will fail some contrast requirements.

OUI-1107 - In the component library Status Badge / StatusText does not meet contrast requirement. As this occurs in the component libraries, any page that displays a resource status underneath a decorative badge graphic will display with insufficient contrast.

CPD-436 - On the Streaming detail page, object status is shown as text underneath a large decorative jewel. Contrast for this status displayed is insufficient. As this occurs in the component libraries, any detail page that displays resource status in proximity to a large page jewel will also display the status with insufficient contrast.

FAAS-5356 - In Functions the step component displays insufficient contrast ratio.

COMCON-1183  In Create Cluster Network the "Show Tagging Options" expandable area is inaccessible when using the keyboard to navigate the form. 

COMP-2188 - In Compartment Explorer, user cannot use keyboard navigation to see tooltips within the table.

CPD-431 - In Audit, for someone using the keyboard only to navigate, there is no way to see the entire JSON details when the table row is expanded. Each table row features a scrollable JSON area, but a user cannot navigate into the JSON area using ONLY the keyboard.

CPD-331 - In Logging, columns cannot be resized using only the keyboard.

OHC-2481 - In Health Checks, the 'X' link in the Headers section to create a new Healthcheck is not keyboard accessible.

ORCH-4240 - On Resource Manager's Job detail page user cannot use keyboard to focus and scroll the log area.

CPD-481 - In Telemetry metrics explorer page, user cannot operate x-axis time range slider with keyboard.

ID-8904 - In Dynamic Groups under Identity, when creating a dynamic group, you have the ability to use a Rule Builder. When using the escape key within the Rule Builder modal, pressing it once does not close the modal. Pressing it a second time will close both the "Rule Builder" modal as well as the "Create Dynamic Group" Modal.

MAR-4580 - In Marketplace some links under are not accessible via keyboard, including Webinars, Videos, Self Paced Training, User Guides, and Support Portal.

DPD-3573 - In Performance Hub/Database Performance and Diagnostics, user cannot open the date range picker with keyboard only.

COMP-2186 - Within a compartment detail view, using row actions on the subcopmartment list causes focus loss.

OSMS-4341 - In OS Management Service when user accesses Add Managed Instances form using a keyboard, the focus stays behind the panel instead of focus on the Compartment select within the panel.

FFSW-6839 - In File System plugin, after deleting an NFS export option in the Edit NFS Export Options dialog, the keyboard focus goes to the elements behind the dialog and user has to tab all the way back to the dialog.

The following tickets track the identified errors:

FFSW-6839 - In File Storage, Edit NFS Export Options dialog the keyboard focus goes to the elements "behind" the dialog and user has to tab all the way back to the dialog.

OB-26117 - In Create Analytics Cloud Service Instance dialog, information bars have valuable information regarding each field that is not conveyed to a keyboard user, text only appears when hovered over with mouse.

OUI-893 - In Streaming, when user enters invalid input into a form field, such as email address, screen readers do not inform the user of the error.

DBAASUI-559 - In Autonomous Database, when user chooses a Autonomous Container Database an info block warning message appears that does not trigger notification for a visually-impaired or keyboard user.

OUI-893 - In the component libraries, when some fields have validation errors they read out as expected in the screen reader, but on subsequent errors in the same field the screen reader does not always announce the error message.

DS-6645 - In Datasafe the Create Private Endpoint form contains tooltips which do not have unique IDs.

The following tickets track the identified errors:

CPD-430 - Within Audit, when user searches for additional results, the page is updated. There is a ticker which updates the user with however many results have been searched, however a screen reader user is not notified of this ticker change.

CLOUDSH-2319 - In Cloud Shell the loading status declares generic message instead of displayed message which will prevent screen readers from notifying users of component status.

OUI-937 - There is a platform specific issue which only occurs when user is using VoiceOver screen reader on a mac with the chrome browser. On any listing page where each item has a status label, when a VoiceOver user is currently on the page and a refresh happens, VoiceOver continuously announces the labels for each item. This occurs in Compartment Explorer, and since the issue is in the component libraries could occur on any page which uses status label for items within a list, depending on the page configuration. There is a workaround to use any other screen reader or any other browser.
