SPARC S7-2 Server base configuration consisting of:
  • One or two SPARC S7 processors  (8 cores/processor, 64 threads/processor)
  • 8 x Small Form-Factor (SFF) 2.5” disk drive bays, four of the SFF drive bays support PCIe SFF (NVMe) drives
  • Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) with dedicated 1000BASE-T (10/100/1000) Ethernet port and RJ-45 serial management port
  • 3 PCIe 3.0 (x8) LP expansion slots of which two support x16 form factor (mechanically). 
  • Internal PCIe slot (#4) is populated with a SAS HBA card (disk controller)
  • 2 x external USB 2.0 ports (front)
  • 4  x 100/1000/10000 Mbps Ethernet, RJ-45 based, auto negotiating ports
  • On-board ASICs:  10/40 Gb Ethernet and quad Ethernet, dual 48-port switches (PCIe)
  • 2 x redundant (1+1) hot plug AC power supplies, 1,200W per supply
  • Redundant hot-plug fans - 4 fan modules with counter-rotating fans (N+1) per fan module
  • Pre-loaded Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) system management software (see dependent products section)
  • Pre-installed Solaris 11 Operating System (see dependent products section)

Server optional components:

  • Up to 16 DDR4 Dual Inline Memory Modules (DIMM) on two processors or up to 8 DDR4 DIMMs on the one processor - 16, 32 or 64 GB capacity
  • Up to 8 SAS hard disk or solid state disks
  • Up to 4 NVMe solid state disks
  • 3 available PCIe I/O cards/adapters
