Since the acquisition (and subsequent acquisition of Zenedge) the engineering teams have been working diligently to integrate Dyn’s legacy core products and network into the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform as native services. Enterprises can now leverage the best-inclass DNS, Web Application Security, and Email Delivery services within OCI and extend their applications across a comprehensive platform to build, scale, and operate their cloud infrastructure. As a result, Dyn legacy Enterprise services (i.e. purchased via written order and not online shopping cart) are targeted to be retired on May 31, 2020 with the exception of Internet Intelligence.
Internet Intelligence is an exception to this notice. Internet Intelligence will remain a standalone offering within Oracle and does not require any action at this time. At your next contract renewal, you will need to migrate your Dyn legacy Enterprise services to OCI following the instructions here and locate your specific service(s) you need to migrate to OCI.
If you’re a Dyn Managed DNS customer and minimal downtime is acceptable, follow the instructions above to migrate your services to OCI.
If you’re a Dyn Managed DNS customer and downtime is not acceptable, please check back with us in August when we are planning on having a migration tool available to help avoid downtime.
If you are not able to migrate at your next contract renewal, we will migrate your legacy Dyn Enterprise service subscription to a month to month basis until May 31, 2020. There is nothing you need to do at this time as Internet Intelligence will continue to be offered from Oracle.
If your service is not being offered in OCI, then you will need to move to another provider by May 31, 2020. You will be able to continue to use your Dyn legacy Enterprise service until this date, at which time the service will be turned off. Contractual renewals will convert to month to month at time of renewal.
If you’ve migrated to OCI prior to your renewal date, we will allow you to cancel the remaining term on your existing Dyn contract. Otherwise, the existing terms and conditions of your contract remain in place until your renewal date. At that time, your contract will move to month to month until you’ve migrated or May 31, 2020 when service will be turned off. If your contract is currently set to expire after May 31, 2020, it will cancel automatically on May 31, 2020.
