Jyoti Desai
CIO of the Year

Jyoti Desai, Group Chief Technical Officer and Chief Information Officer, MTN

MTN, a growing mobile service provider, is transforming how the company goes to market using Oracle technology and Oracle’s communications solutions. MTN has built a large, Oracle-based data center using Oracle’s Engineered Systems and is upgrading their platform to become a regional cloud service provider.

Vincent Melvin
CIO of the Year

Vincent Melvin, Chief Information Officer, Arrow Electronics

Arrow Electronics is a technology solution provider with $22.8B in revenue. Focused on driving business growth and agility, Vincent Melvin has been recognized for standardizing the company’s global operations on Oracle’s application portfolio, technology platform, and cloud services. Notably, he has developed a comprehensive applications roadmap that has allowed him to retire home-grown legacy applications and adopt off-the-shelf cloud and on-premises applications.

Paulino Rodrigues
CIO of the Year

Paulino Rodrigues, Chief Operation and Information Officer, Sicredi

Sicredi, a credit union in Brazil, is expanding its businesses into new markets. With the help of Oracle Business Process Management, Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle WebCenter, Paulino Rodrigues delivered a loan-processing application that streamlined the loan process, met revenue objectives, and changed the internal culture of the bank. Their numbers are remarkable, as well: 30 percent reduction in loan processing time and a 35 percent increase in loan business.

SangChul Lee
CIO of the Year

SangChul Lee, Chief Information Officer, SK Hynix

SangChul Lee has a strong track record for successful business transformation projects across the memory-chip powerhouse, leveraging Oracle Exadata and Oracle’s Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance to improve manufacturing execution. One of his team’s many initiatives helped to significantly increase production capacity and revenue at a key fabrication plant.

Yasuhiro Suzuki
CIO of the Year

Yasuhiro Suzuki, Director, Executive Officer, and Chief Information Officer, Seven & i Holdings

Seven & i Holdings manages 7-Eleven convenience stores in Japan. Suzuki has launched Omni7, a new, Oracle-based, omnichannel solution, which uses a single member ID to connect group companies. This provides customers with a broader, richer shopping experience across diverse channels, and enables them to shop at all the Seven & i companies listed on the Omni7 website, including 7-Eleven, Ito-Yokado, Sogo & Seibu, AKACHAN HONPO, The Loft, Denny’s, and Seven Net Shopping.
