Wells Fargo has one of the world’s largest and most complex IT environments, and security is paramount. Dillon has helped to focus the organization on standardizing and modernizing technology across the bank, with the goal of reducing risk and costs through simplification. Oracle solutions play an important role in Wells Fargo’s strategy to organize IT into service areas versus line-of-business responsibilities to streamline the delivery of shared services across the bank. Dillon leveraged Oracle Exadata Cloud services for the consolidation and modernization of more than 5,000 of Wells Fargo’s Oracle databases—a project seen as one of the most successful IT initiatives at Wells Fargo today. After launching high-speed 4G/LTE networks in six countries in just one year and consolidating networks after mergers in Italy and Pakistan, Malik has taken VEON on an unprecedented global business support system transformation, creating state-of-the-art, data-centric billing and customer care systems using products from across the Oracle footprint. Malik also has set an audacious ambition for VEON to become truly digital from the inside by digitizing most of its internal processes. Starting last year, VEON has embarked on a ground-breaking centralized cloud ERP implementation across all geographies.
