Further enhancing its digital business platform for the enterprise and the cloud, Oracle today outlined new innovations across the Oracle Fusion Middleware portfolio. This release boasts hundreds of new features that will help customers and partners create and run agile, intelligent business applications, fuel innovation, and consolidate their systems and improve business continuity on premises and the cloud.
As part of this major Oracle Fusion Middleware release, Oracle announced the largest release of Oracle WebLogic Server in a decade, unveiling the world’s first cloud-native, enterprise Java Platform. Enhancements were also made to components of Oracle Fusion Middleware, including Oracle BPM Suite, Oracle Data Integration, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle WebCenter, and Oracle Developer Tools.
“The latest Oracle Fusion Middleware release continues our long history of innovation, and offers a modern, agile platform that enables organizations to respond to their most complex challenges around cloud, big data, mobility and IoT,” said Inderjeet Singh, executive vice president of Fusion Middleware at Oracle. “This is a significant release of WebLogic Server, and a major milestone for Coherence, delivering significant innovations that deliver unparalleled availability while enabling organizations to consolidate workloads with multi-tenancy.”
“We’re excited about many of the innovations in this new Oracle WebLogic Server release, especially the multi-tenancy concept, and both multi data center and full Java EE 7 support,” said Ralf Ernst, senior IT Architect, Bundesagentur für Arbeit, (BA) the Federal Employment Agency in Germany with more than 100,000 employees and over 700 offices across the country. “The new Oracle WebLogic Server multitenant and continuous availability offerings, such as pluggable partitions, will accelerate application delivery, and allow for implementing development best practices. The new features will help us increase cross-team productivity, and – through support for maximum availability architectures—will substantially improve our quality of service.”

Customers are excited to drive consolidation and deploy applications in the cloud with the multitenancy support. The multi datacenter high availability architecture enables us to setup end-to-end disaster recovery plans for our customer environments. Developing Java EE 7 applications with Java SE 8 for Oracle WebLogic Server has never been easier and with the new micro container partitions, application delivery and management has been significantly accelerated.
