Chiyoda Corporation, a leading engineering and construction company based in Japan, has built more than 40% of the world’s liquefied natural gas plants, including the recent construction of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas plants in Qatar. The company is also gradually expanding its business into solar and solar-thermal power generation and hydrogen supply. In addition, Chiyoda Corporation is also focusing on delivering aftermarket maintenance and repair services for its plants across Japan, Singapore, and Qatar.

Chiyoda worked with Chiyoda System Technologies Corporation, one of its subsidiaries and its IT arm with proven track record of implementing Oracle’s Primavera at more than 100 companies. The project team went through intensive discussion with representatives from different departments, including accounting, corporate planning, project management, sales, and human resources to plan, design, and develop business processes for the global project management platform across all subsidiaries. The system went live first in Chiyoda’s head office in Japan, followed by the company’s affiliated subsidiaries in Qatar. The new project management system went live across all companies after piloting.
