In 2003, we evaluated six vendors in a search for an ERP system replacement that would enable us to reduce our existing plethora of customizations. JD Edwards met our business needs and allowed us to continue running our IBM AS/400 platform without acquiring additional hardware. In 2013, when we upgraded to Version 9.1, we decreased our customizations again—from 4,000 to 1,200. In looking at the JD Edwards platform over the last decade, it was and continues to be a flexible system that enables us to grow.
