Fundacion Cardioinfantil Leaves Paper Files Behind with Oracle HCM Cloud

Share

When employee data was stored in physical files, it was impossible to quickly obtain basic, accurate information to create reliable performance reports. Oracle HCM Cloud organized the information and enhanced our personnel appraisals, saving us a lot of time and improving our services.

Fundacion Cardioinfantil Expedites Staff’s Data Querying and Quickly Produces Reliable Performance Appraisals with Oracle HCM Cloud

Founded in 1973, Fundacion Cardioinfantil (“Children's Heart Foundation”) is a private, non-profit organization that offers medical care to children in Colombia with heart disease. It provides free health treatment to underprivileged children, with costs covered by donations from individuals and businesses.

The organization used to catalogue all its medical professionals’ documents and data in numerous physical files, stored in a large room at the Foundation’s facilities. Data-gathering processes for healthcare audits and staff appraisals were performed manually, which proved to be time-consuming, error-prone work. This situation led Fundacion Cardioinfantil to look for a more effective and efficient solution.

Challenges
  • Facilitate access to information on the Foundation’s medical professionals, eliminating laborious and time-consuming processes of manual data searches through physical files
  • Expedite personnel performance appraisals and increase their accuracy
  • Increase data security
Results
  • Digitized and centralized all doctors’ data—physicians’ licenses, certifications, and more—on a single platform, Oracle Human Capital Management Base Cloud Service, facilitating data management and allowing remote access to real-time information
  • Expedited data queries on the organization’s personnel files while providing more accurate information to federal authorities when needed—timeframe to answer audit requests dropped from several days to just a couple of hours
  • Freed highly skilled workers, such as doctors and directors, from helping with personnel data searches and physical file organization, increasing their time dedicated to patient care and/or management
  • Enhanced data security and longevity while eliminating the misplacement of documents and strengthening data privacy, as personnel information is no longer stored in physical structures vulnerable to unexpected events or unauthorized access
  • Automated the organization’s staff performance appraisals and expedited the assessment process time by 2x while eliminating error-prone spreadsheets and improving evaluation reliability
  • Broadened the organization’s personnel assessment with Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud
  • Met international healthcare quality standards and improved the company’s services

Out of all the other platforms we evaluated, Oracle was the most complete and offered the most benefits in data compilation and personnel performance appraisals. Additionally, Oracle is a market leader.
