We chose Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Cloud over Microsoft and Workday because it provided us with a strong and innovative solution to help us increase productivity and lower costs. We implemented in just five short months and have ongoing technical support that is invaluable to us.

Rightside Group Modernizes Global Business and Streamlines Finance Processes with Oracle Solution

Rightside Group inspires and delivers new possibilities for consumers and businesses to define and present themselves online. The company, with its affiliates, is a leading provider of domain name services, offering one of the industry’s most comprehensive platforms for the discovery, registration, usage, and monetization of domain names.

The company deployed Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud to improve operational efficiency, reduce IT infrastructure and maintenance costs, and enhance the end-user experience.

Challenges
  • Gain visibility and access to Rightside Group’s financial information in the cloud from anywhere in the world to enable accounting staff to track operations and financials
  • Ensure flexibility and speed in reporting, enabling the company to more easily manage regulatory compliance, including with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Integrate effortlessly with the company’s existing third-party solutions
Results
  • Integrated all financial systems with Oracle ERP Cloud, enabling the company to retrieve financial data instantly, make more informed business decisions, and improve efficiency across all global offices
  • Automated accounts payables and accounts receivables processes to improve the company’s margins by lowering the cost of doing business
  • Enabled Rightside Group to sync all its historical financial data—including 210,000 original journals, 110,000 accounts payables invoices, and 114,000 fixed assets—with Oracle ERP Cloud using Oracle Java Cloud Service, easing the transition for the company’s 15-person accounting team
  • Unified all financial data and automated reports and analytics, reducing reporting time, gaining the ability to analyze global financials at a granular level, and helping ensure regulatory compliance
  • Transitioned to a cloud system, providing scalability as the company grows and enabling its accounting team to retrieve pertinent information at the click of a button, driving more informed decision making
  • Maximized total cost of ownership and ensured high availability and timely maintenance with the cloud solution, and enabled Rightside Group to focus efforts of small internal IT members on priority projects

We considered Microsoft Dynamics and Workday, and found Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Cloud to be much more cost effective and top notch in terms of the technical support we receive on an ongoing basis. Oracle met all our needs and more.
