— Kalyan Manyam, Director, Cloud and Analytics, Solix Technologies, Inc.

Solix Technologies, Inc. is an enterprise data management platform provider. Its flagship product, The Solix Common Data Platform (Solix CDP), empowers enterprises with optimized data infrastructure, data security and advanced analytics while achieving Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) goals. They have been helping Oracle customers fulfill their enterprise data management needs for over a decade.

Solix CDP leverages the open source apache Hadoop stack and enhances it with an end to end solution framework featuring an object, governance, and analyst workbenches and a metadata framework to support Enterprise Archiving, Application Retirement, Data Lake, EDW modernization and Operational data store solutions.

Solix CDP essentially ‘migrates’ inactive data and ‘copies’ active data from structured and unstructured data sources to create a single, scalable and compliant data repository (HDFS or Object Storage). This helps reduce infrastructure costs, improve performance of production applications, meet data retention requirements and comply with regulations like GDPR while making active and inactive data available for advanced analytics.

A common customer deployment of Solix CDP might consist of 25 VMs with 8 OCPUs each, 25 TB of block volume storage, and operating systems such as Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, or CentOS. The software stack can include Oracle Database, MySQl, Vue.js, Node.js, jQuery, and a Hadoop stack with Impala, Spark, and Hive.

Solix plans to have their first customers up and running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in 2018.
