Oracle WebCenter Applications Adapter (12.2.1.3.0)

Product Description:

This VPAT is for the Oracle WebCenter Applications Adapter product which delivers technology that integrates Oracle WebCenter Content capabilities with: Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, and Siebel Applications. The WebCenter Applications Adapter facilitates two types of solutions when integrated with these systems: Imaging solutions, and Managed Attachment solutions. Detailed information regarding these two solution types can be found in the WebCenter Content on-line documentation. These two solution types have different characteristics and interact with different Oracle products:

Imaging solution: When the WebCenter Applications Adapter product is configured to deliver an Imaging solution it invokes and interacts with user interface components that are installed as part of WebCenter Content product. WebCenter Content VPAT contains information regarding the specific user interface components that are used in conjunction with the WebCenter Applications Adapters. Imaging solutions can be integrated with Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft systems. In this mode the WebCenter Applications Adapter product incorporates several user interface components that are provided by the Oracle SOA Suite products. These user interface components include: the SOA Rules editor interface, the SOA view navigation panel, and the SOA worklist component. The Applications Adapter interface also imbeds the WebCenter Imaging document viewer component for image display. Refer to the following product VPATs for additional information:

  1. PeopleSoft Applications (can be configured to launch the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
  2. Oracle E-Business Suite (can be configured to launch the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
  3. Oracle Business Rules (one or more components are embedded in the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
  4. Oracle Business Process Management Suite (one or more components are embedded in the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
  5. Oracle WebCenter Imaging (one or more components are embedded in the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
  6. Oracle WebCenter Content (one or more components are embedded in the WebCenter Adapter user interface)

Managed Attachment solution: When the WebCenter Applications Adapter product is configured to deliver a Managed Attachment solution it invokes a user interface specially designed to support Managed Attachment solutions. Managed Attachment solutions can be integrated with Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, and Siebel Applications. Refer to the following product VPATs for additional detailed information:

  1. PeopleSoft Applications (can be configured to launch the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
  2. Oracle E-Business Suite (can be configured to launch the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
  3. Siebel Applications (can be configured to launch the WebCenter Adapter user interface)
