Workflow for Creating and Deploying in-Database Machine Learning Methodologies
The Oracle Data Miner is an extension to Oracle SQL Developer that enables data analysts to view their data, built and evaluate multiple machine learning/data mining models and accelerate model deployment. Users work directly with data that remains inside the database by leveraging Oracle Advanced Analytic's Oracle Data Mining machine learning/data mining SQL functions. By working directly with data inside the Oracle Database, data scientists, "citizen data scientists" and application developers can eliminate data movement, take advantage of the security and scalability of the Oracle Database and significantly reduce the time from "data to actionable insights" - typically from weeks/days to mins/hours. Data analysts use Oracle Data Miner's “drag and drop” workflow UI to explore the data via graphs (histogram, scatterplots, boxplots, etc.), build and evaluate predictive and descriptive OAA models, apply models to new data and then deploy the analytical methodologies, predictions and insights throughout the enterprise. The Oracle Data Miner workflow capture and document the user's analytical methodology and can be saved, shared and scheduled with others to automate analytical methodologies. Additionally the Oracle Data Miner generates SQL scripts and has a Oracle Data Miner workflow API to automate and accelerate model deployment throughout the enterprise.
Oracle Data Miner UI is comprised of three components:
Oracle Data Miner UI creates predictive models that application developers can integrate into applications to automate the discovery and distribution of new business intelligence-predictions, patterns and discoveries—throughout the enterprise.
