Oracle Customer Spotlight Series
March 9, 2021
For more than 100 years, growth—both organic and by acquisition—has been a defining characteristic of Yellow. Today, Yellow’s portfolio of five trucking and logistics companies is the leading less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier in North America.
Unfortunately, all that growth led to a disjointed IT environment with multiple versions of on-premises finance and HR applications—plus point solutions. Upgrades were lengthy and costly, and data extraction challenges made it difficult to derive insights across all five businesses. Then Yellow decided to move to unified ERP (2017) and HCM (2018) suites on Oracle Cloud.
We made the decision to pick one provider for HR and finance…For the life of me, I can’t think of a rationale why you would go with separate vendors.Jason Ringgenberg CIO, Yellow
