Mohamed Absar is a certified Project Management Professional who has been with the DP World family since 2000 and has driven and delivered multiple strategic projects for the group. Currently, he is working as the Head of Projects Solutions and Chief of Staff for Group Technology Division, with the aim of leveraging DP World’s globally connected network of ports and free-trade zones, so DP World can be a trusted partner to streamline end-to-end information flow and cargo movement and drastically improve BCO’s experience.
In the past, Mohamed has led projects on back office standardization and infrastructure consolidation, rolling out CRM, OTM, GTM, IoT and various technology solutions across DP World in various countries.
Because of his industry experience and his expertise in project management, Mohamed has been a key player in developing strategy for acquisitions and managing post-acquisition integration with DP World network and has worked closely with business units in implementing the strategic objectives of the organization.
In his previous roles, he has worked as Project Manager for Dubai Custom Reform and Modernization Program, MIRSAL and as Program Manager for Ports, Customs and FreeZone Corporation. Mohamed holds a Masters in Computers from University of Madras.
Chris’ key areas of research include transportation management systems, omni-channel logistics and fulfillment, business analytics, and retail technology. He is also a contributing writer for Logistics Viewpoints.
Prior to joining ARC, Chris was a senior analyst at Aberdeen Group covering retail and hospitality technology. He also has years of experience in the retail and wholesale industries in a number of sales, marketing, inventory management, and customer service roles.
Marcelo de Matheus is the CIO of Tramontina USA, overseeing Information Technology strategy, architecture and implementation. He has more than 25 years of IT experience, including 17 years in executive positions leading IT organizations in global companies. He earned a degree of Data Processing Technology and an MBA degree with a focus in Corporate Business Management.
