Rand Waldron
Rand Waldron Vice President, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Product Development

Rand Waldron is Vice President of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Product Development. He is responsible for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Global Government Sector team and leading the strategy, development and deployment of Oracle’s Dedicated Region Cloud @ Customer product line. Mr. Waldron is focused on ensuring that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure fulfils the unique needs of customers who require complete cloud solutions on their terms: in the premises of their choosing, or meeting government security and process requirements-- often disconnected from the internet—without compromising innovation, existing investments and future growth.

Mr. Waldron joined Oracle in 2018. Prior to joining Oracle, Mr. Waldron was Deputy Assistant Director at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, responsible for the FBI’s enterprise software and data—including investigative and intelligence analytics, records and evidence management, large scale custom software development and business operations systems. Throughout his career at the FBI, Mr. Waldron was responsible for the delivery of many of the Bureau’s most critical systems, he helped drive the FBI’s migration to cloud, and he has a unique track record in harnessing technology’s power to enable the national security mission.

Prior to the FBI, Mr. Waldron served at the United States Department of Justice. Before his government service, Mr. Waldron founded a start-up in the defense sector and was Director of Technology at venture capital funded technology company in California.

Rob has extensive legal, commercial, and business experience throughout the Asia Pacific region both in his role as a senior legal advisor and as a chief executive delivering strong strategic and business skills across a number of diverse cultural, commercial and legal environments. Rob founded Australian Data Centres in Canberra to meet the emerging requirement for Secure Data Centres services by Federal Agencies.

Brian has 30 years of experience in Technical Marketing, Product Management, and Business Development at Intel, NVIDIA, and Oracle, the past 8 years in Competitive Intelligence.

Sriram Subramanian
Sriram SubramanianResearch Director, IDC

Sriram Subramanian is a Research Director within IDC's Infrastructure Systems, Platforms and Technologies Group (ISPTG), covering three focus areas – Infrastructure for Enterprise Workloads, Operating Systems and Environments, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Enterprise Workloads.

Sriram’s coverage on Infrastructure for Enterprise Workloads includes the intersection of modern applications (such as cloud native applications, microservices, AI/ML/DL workloads, and AI - enabled applications) and modern infrastructures (such as service mesh architectures, specialized hardware, and accelerated hardware) and how they impact each other. Mr. Subramanian's coverage on Operating Systems and Environments (OSE) includes the role of OSE in application transformations and market shares/ forecast on spend on OSE. Sriram’s research on Artificial Intelligence takes a workloads-centric approach - including AI consumption models, AI services, and best practices leveraging AI capabilities to enable business workloads.

Sriram advises vendors on product strategy, market positioning, and messaging; and buyers on digital transformation best practices based on their workloads and applications. Sriram also covers the influence of emerging open-source and commercial open source technologies on application development paradigms.
