Praveen Srivastava is director of engineering for the Java Platform Group at Oracle, Bangalore. Leading multiple product teams at Oracle, he is responsible for developing Java platform APIs through open source project OpenJDK and its commercial version: Oracle JDK. He is also responsible for the development of Java Management Service—a cloud native service in the domains of observability and management within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. He has more than 24 years of experience in software product companies, including at Motorola and Aricent. He has a long track record of delivering large and complex software products on time and budget. He is a technology enthusiast, passionate about teaching mathematics and science to high school kids.
