Speaker Offices

  • We'll have several speaker offices at the event. You will need your speaker badge to access these locations.
  • Speaker offices are a quiet place for you to work. Internet access is provided. Please refrain from holding meetings or phone conversations in the office, and limit your time on the internet to 20 minutes if someone is waiting.
  • Printers will not be available.

Onsite Content Team Contact Information

In the event of any last minute changes or emergencies, i.e. illness or delays, send an email to Speaker Services at Please explain your situation and make sure to provide your session information and schedule. We will be monitoring the Speaker Services inbox and communicating with the onsite team continuously. This should be your first point of contact.

If there is an issue or question that needs immediate attention during the event (October 25- October 29), in addition to your email, you may call the Oracle OpenWorld and JavaOne Speaker Offices to leave a message to be delivered to the Content Team immediately. Contact numbers provided below.

When calling, let the assistant know the situation, and be sure to give your session ID and the names and phone numbers of all speakers involved.

AV and Internet

  • AV equipment will differ by session room.
  • Session room set up and equipment can be found here
  • Internet access will be provided in all session rooms. Rooms will be equipped with wired connections, as well as wireless. We recommend presenters use the wired connections, however you may also use wireless. The wireless information for the show is below.

Session Handouts/Recording/Giveaways

  • We make every effort to ensure that Oracle OpenWorld and JavaOne are eco-friendly events, so we don’t permit handouts to be distributed. Giveaways are also not permitted unless previously approved by the content team.
  • Recording devices are not allowed during sessions.

Room Capacity

  • Our event staff will do everything possible to make sure that all attendees who want to attend the session get a seat.
  • We are required to comply with the room capacities set by the city Fire Marshal. There are no exceptions to these rules. If you notice your session is getting full, take the time to ask those entering to fill in seats in the front. We will do our best to get the room filled before your session begins.
  • Rooms must be cleared after each session. No exceptions.

Presenter Guidelines

  • Please identify yourself as the presenter of the session upon arrival.
  • Show up to your session with enough time to set up.
  • Leave time at the end of your session for Q&A.
  • Presentations will be collected in the Speaker Resource Center (SRC). Instructions on uploading your presentation are provided here in the Speaker Portal (Getting Ready tab), as well as in the SRC. Technicians in the session rooms will not be collecting presentations.
  • Make sure you have all necessary adapters.
  • You may use the laptop provided in your session room, or your own laptop to present.
