Name of Product: Oracle BI Mobile - BI Mobile HD and BI Mobile App Designer 11.1.1.7.1 (patch set)Last Updated: 06-Jan-2014 This VPAT applies to only version 11.1.1.7.1. It does not apply to any versions of Oracle BI Mobile - BI Mobile HD and BI Mobile App Designer after this. The Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition product line provides two dedicated options to create and consume BI content through mobile devices. The BI Mobile HD solution provides the ability to discover and consume BI content that has been authored and assembled in OBIEE. It is a universal Apple IOS based mobile application that runs on the Apple iPad and iPhone and is delivered through the Apple iTunes store. The application provides an easy-to-use, secure, intuitive, and multi-touch gestural interface for users to access and interact with business intelligence content like analyses, Dashboards, reports, alerts, scorecards. It also allows them to browse a catalog of business intelligence objects to which they have access to select and run on their devices. Users can save business intelligence content on their devices for offline viewing, and also share content with users via email. With the release of 11.1.1.7.1 and associated patches, the Oracle BI mobile offerings will be extended to include a new feature set referred to as the BI Mobile App Designer. The BI Mobile App Designer combines BI report authoring with third party mobile extensions allowing users to create and deploy purpose built BI mobile applications without the addition of mobile enabling software. These mobile applications are delivered through mobile browsers including Chrome, Firefox and Safari and supports standard mobile operating systems including Apple IOS (6.0 and newer), Android (4.2 and newer) and Windows Mobile 8. The Oracle Mobile App Designer is recommended to run on Apple iPads and iPhones, Google Nexus tablets and phones and Nokia based Windows phones and Microsoft Surface tablets. The BI Mobile HD application does not allow for the creation of content from mobile devices. BI content is created by other products such as Oracle BI Interactive Dashboards, Answers and Scorecards. Content creators and authors making use of these products must follow the accessibility best practices which can be found in the Accessibility Index of the Oracle BI Enterprise Edition Users Guide. The BI Mobile App Designer relies on extensions of the OBIEE authoring tools, using browser based environments to allow users to assemble the applications. By leveraging Oracle BI Publisher, accessibility standards supported by this product will be carried forward for the BI Mobile App Designer. In run time mode, the BI Mobile App Designer makes use of jQuery Mobile, (http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.2.0/docs/about/accessibility.html) and builds the accessibility techniques in concert with those available through this tool set. This document also covers the introduction of the Oracle BI Mobile App Designer Trial Edition. This version of the BI Mobile App Designer provides a subset of features of the overall product and is intended for users to discover the capabilities, experiment with features and determine if the product is a positive fit for their business needs. There is no migration path and the product is not intended to be used in production. From a UI and accessibility perspective the BI Mobile App Designer Trial Edition makes use of the same core features as the shipping product. The differences include a simplified installer, no integration with OBIEE and limited access to data sources. Accessibility can be switched on by enabling the "VoiceOver", "Zoom", or "White on Black" options in the "Accessibility" screen under the "General" settings of the iPad. Further information is also available at "iPad: Configuring accessibility features (including VoiceOver and Zoom)" http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4064 The information below describes this product's ability to support the applicable U.S. Section 508 standards and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 Double-A Guidelines, subject to Oracle's interpretation of those standards and the remarks in this document.
