Tokyo—August 7, 2019
Oracle Corporation Japan announced today that Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation(MFTBC) has deployed Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud to improve performance of over 10,000 employees and enhance the efficiency of HR operations.
MFTBC is one of Japan’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers and a member of the Daimler Group, a German multinational automotive corporation. Also as a member of Daimler Trucks Asia, MFTBC has employees with diverse occupations, nationalities and cultural backgrounds. For an international company with such diversity to stay competitive and attractive for its employees, a novel system was required to implement a new, simple and performance-focused HR program.
MFTBC was struggling with multiple HR management systems and complex interfaces between systems and data management processes, which brought many challenges in the efficiency of HR operations, the convenience of employees and the maintenance and management of the system.
To ensure smooth operation of the new HR program which allows the organization and its employees to stay attractive and to enable simple and efficient HR operations, it selected Oracle HCM Cloud.
“Oracle HCM Cloud allows us to grasp and analyze an extensive range of HR data in real-time, so we consider it not only as a useful tool to streamline the operation of our new HR program and daily activities but also to develop and implement our HR strategy promptly and flexibly," says Jun Noguchi, Senior Manager and Head of HR Management Services, MFTBC (HRT/AM), Daimler Trucks Asia. “In addition to managing goals, assessment, and incentives, we plan to leverage Oracle HCM Cloud in a wide range of areas including integrated management of personnel information, career development, and manpower planning and management.”
Oracle HCM Cloud delivers a complete, global HR solution to standardize processes such as managing HR information, organizations, applications, recruitment, learning, goals, assessment, and incentives, as well as succession plans, career development, and staff planning. By analyzing HR data, Oracle HCM Cloud maximizes the performance of organizations and employees. Driven by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, the integrated suite enables customers to make faster, smarter and more strategic business decisions in order to keep up with the market demand changes.
MFTBC is using Oracle HCM Cloud as a talent management system that corresponds to the new personnel system in November 2018 and has managed employees’ goals, assessment, and incentives. The automaker has plans to integrate its core HR data management such as HR information, organization, and information change applications, into Oracle HCM Cloud by 2020 to streamline its HR operations with cutting-edge technologies and further reduce maintenance costs.
The Oracle Cloud offers a complete suite of integrated applications for Sales, Service, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, plus Highly-Automated and Secure Generation 2 Infrastructure featuring the Oracle Autonomous Database.
