Your RES 3700 Point of Sale system may require a patch to fix a calendar bug that will cause challenges with reporting functionality starting in January 2021. While this bug will not cause your system to suffer any severe functional impacts, and full operational functions will continue uninterrupted, it is still a good idea to patch your system as soon as possible.
Follow the step-by-step instructions below to get started.
Customers should ensure that they are running the latest supported software version and securing their cardholder environment per the PCI DSS standards (https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/) including but not limited to the security configuration and detection steps at the start of this MOS Article. You can find the latest supported version of Hospitality RES Product Suite V5 (3700) 5.7 in the Oracle Lifetime Support Policy (PDF).
Follow the steps below to determine your version number if you are unsure.

To make sure you get the right plan, you will need your system’s version number. Follow the steps below to identify your system’s version number now:
1. On your back-office computer, open MICROS Control Panel
2. In MICROS Control Panel, select “Help”, located near the top of the application
3. Select “About MICROS Control Panel”
4. Your RES 3700 version number will appear on the screen. Note the first three numbers before moving to the next step (as shown on the image to the right).
