Oracle Social Network (OSN) is no longer being actively developed and will end product support at the end of June, 2025.
Because OSN is often provisioned and used as part of an integration with Fusion Applications, each Fusion Application product has begun to make plans to transition away from OSN. Some Fusion Applications may opt to retire OSN in their product prior to the end of June, 2025.
In keeping with Oracle standard practices, OSN will continue to be supported for 7 years from the most recent release. Since OSN was last updated in 2018, as part of the R13 release, Oracle will continue to support OSN until the end of June, 2025.
Existing OSN customers on a supported platform can continue to have access to OSN in its current state. However, this means only current capabilities and bug fixes; there will be no additional enhancements.
Anyone who currently uses OSN embedded within a Fusion Application solution will still have access to OSN and can continue to use OSN while it is supported within that Fusion Application. Please note that object integration and sharing into OSN is managed by the base Fusion Application product and as such any supportability and EOL timing for that functionality is determined by the controlling Fusion Application product team.
Contact your Fusion Application product team to get details on when and how they plan to retire OSN in their product.
The OSN team and your Fusion Applications product team will work together to provide guidance on the transition to other solutions.
