Oracle Global Startup Ecosystem works with startups at various stages, from founders in university-affiliated incubators to early stage to scaleups.
Oracle’s mission is to build a thriving global startup community to drive the digital economy. The community is based on collaborative partnerships that enable next-generation growth, business development, and drive cloud-based innovation throughout all stages of startup growth
Startups selected for the program are mapped to a personalized journey based on their unique business objectives and goals. Each journey is designed to enable companies to tap into Oracle’s rich ecosystem of enterprise-grade cloud solutions, global customers, and product and market expertise.
No, we don’t take equity. Oracle offers many benefits including facilities, support, expertise, and advice, as well as access to our world-class cloud services, which represent a big step up in enterprise functionality and capability for these companies. While we do not provide funding, we will facilitate connecting startups in the program with venture capitalists and angel investors.
Selected graduating startups will be enrolled in Oracle’s global startup alumni program. Alumni startups will have opportunities to participate with Oracle at key events such as Oracle OpenWorld and Oracle CloudWorld, as well as third-party events.
The alumni program will provide extended resources to startups, including Oracle Cloud credits and discounts, ongoing access to the mentor network and networking platform, and growing partnerships with the ecosystem and peer startups.
Currently, the program is for non-Oracle employees; exceptions are possible on a case-by-case basis. It is, however, open to Oracle alumni.
Oracle has always been involved with startups and the startup ecosystem. After all, we were a startup more than 40 years ago. From 1977—when we were a startup—and continuing today, Oracle has partnered with startups and understands the journey that transforms an idea into an enterprise. We have been actively supporting startups in countries and cities worldwide, but it has been on a regional and local basis. These initiatives will be enhanced and incorporated into the global program. Oracle’s startup program allows us to apply a more strategic approach that enables us to drastically increase our resources and impact to the global startup ecosystem.
This is a multimillion-dollar investment with the global resources and expertise of our mentors, customers, partners, technologies, facilities, and more. Additionally, Oracle will further support startup ecosystems through active participation with global and local sponsorships, events, PR, thought leadership, and other resources.
