Across the US, counties are helping increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve constituent services for millions of residents by moving business operations to Oracle CloudAustin, TX—September 14, 2022
County administrators across the US are turning to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite. Recently, the counties of Dallas, Dauphin, and Fond du Lac selected Oracle applications to help automate their processes, reduce costs, and enhance decision making with real-time insights. The implementations in each county will be supported by Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) member Sierra-Cedar.
“Faced with increasing constituent expectations, fluctuating budgets, and aging IT, county administrators are relying on new technology to improve their most critical systems and functions, from citizen services to data analytics,” said Gene Casciola, senior vice president of healthcare, higher education, and public sector at Oracle. “With Oracle, counties of all sizes can easily take advantage of the latest innovations in the cloud to drive more efficient and effective operations.”
Applications implemented include Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM).
“Constituents expect faster and more reliable services, transparent communications, and easy-to-use tools from their government,” said Brian Christenson, vice president of Public Sector Solutions at Sierra-Cedar. “Oracle’s Cloud Applications Suite can help these counties exceed these expectations by improving how they deliver services to residents, employees, and businesses. Additionally, county employees are provided with a modern user experience and streamlined business processes across all functional areas.”
With more than 2.6 million residents, Dallas County is the ninth largest county by population in the US and is known for its economic vitality, high standard of living, and highly-ranked education institutions. With Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud EPM, and Oracle Cloud HCM, Dallas County will be able to simplify financial, procurement, HR, talent management, benefits administration, and payroll functions. Oracle Consulting works alongside Sierra-Cedar to oversee the technical implementation, support backend framework, and give guidance throughout.
Home to the Hershey Chocolate Headquarters, Dauphin County is considered “the sweetest place on Earth” by its 286,000 residents. With Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud HCM, the County will gain greater financial transparency, standardized business practices, and more advanced tools to manage and develop personnel.
Fond du Lac County has a population of more than 100,000 and is named one of the top 20 safest metropolitan areas in the US. With Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud HCM, the County will be able to simplify operations, reduce manual and paper processes, and enable more self-service capabilities and increased financial transparency.
