Giovanna Sangiorgi leads the Oracle Digital EMEA organisation, which spearheads the company’s biggest-ever transformation and is central to positioning Oracle as the world’s most trusted cloud partner. In her capacity as vice president and head of the technology line of business, she is responsible for accelerating growth for Oracle’s cloud business in the midmarket.

Sangiorgi has built a reputation for using her deep expertise in developing modern and profitable B2B sales models and an understanding of the changing nature of how customers buy today to enable her teams to redefine sales for the cloud era and help customers recognise their full potential.

At Oracle since 1992, Sangiorgi has held a variety of roles across different functions with increasing levels of complexity and business coverage. In 2006 she was appointed vice president and since then has been leading different international teams, initially in operations and more recently in sales. Throughout her career she has demonstrated agility in engaging talent and wiring multicultural teams to pioneer digital selling and use the most modern tools and channels for customer engagement.

As chairperson for the Oracle Digital EMEA group, Sangiorgi has taken on the mission to help talented young professionals future-proof their career and also support the company’s goal to empower the next generation of female leaders. More recently, she has developed a passion for the future of work and innovation as the new status quo.

Sangiorgi began her career as a project manager and then progressed into different technical, sales, and management positions in Italy and abroad. Before joining Oracle, she was an IT director in the retail–fashion sector.
