Developer Live Labs
How I learned to love our live labs

October 2020
With each new release of Java on the six-month cadence that began in 2018, a dozen or so features arrive. For example, at the Oracle Developer Live virtual event held September 15, 2020, the Java leadership team talked about Java 15’s new architectures for data- and compute-intensive workloads.

But the greatest value of an event like this is the opportunity to try out these features for yourself, via an online hands-on lab, on the very day they are made generally available. So that’s exactly what I did.

Read more about my fun with labs in the latest issue of Java Magazine. And know that opportunities to try new technology are just around the corner—the soonest being our October 13 event (see below).

What’s your favorite online learning experience? Write me with your thoughts.
