Data Mesh is an emerging hot topic for developers that puts focus on new ways of thinking about data |

In this hands-on lab we will be using the principles of a Data Mesh to connect the data of a traditional monolithic application using a relational database, and link it towards a series of JSON based Microservices that consume this information, coupled via a Data Pump running on GoldenGate. We will showcase the principles of Data Domains, each responsible for its own data, and managing it like a product, a common Data Platform, and the management and governance of such a platform.
During the lab you will set up the various components of this architecture : an Autonomous database with multiple schema's to represent the various Data Domains, an OCI GoldenGate instance to manage the data transition between the different domains, and a few sample applications (a "monolith" and a few microservices) so you can see the data flows come to life.
We'll also illustrate how you can extend this architecture to include Data Analytics and Kafka Event streams in order to have the complete architectural picture. |
