OLAP Models Leverage Multidimensional Calculation Engine

Oracle OLAP's world-class multidimensional calculation engine is inside the database, where the data is consolidated. OLAP provides excellent query performance for ad hoc and unpredictable queries, regardless of the level of aggregation.

OLAP Cubes

The following list contains some of the OLAP cubes associated with the OADM OLAP models:

• Booking Segment Departure Fact Cube: BSDF
• Booking Segment Departure Fact Forecast Cube: BSDF_F
• Call Center Performance Fact Cube: CCPF
• Customer Survey Daily Fact Cube: CSDF
• Flight Detail Daily Fact Cube: FDDF
• Loyalty Account Fact Cube: LYAF
• Loyalty Booking Fact Cube: LYBF

OLAP Reports

Predefined OADM OLAP reports provide:

• Forecasts based on historical data (examples include Revenue Forecast and Passenger Count Forecast reports)
• Time series analysis (as found in the Booking Growth Anaysis report). Time series calculations will work on any measure to deliver YTD, % Change from Year Ago, Prior Period, and many other comparative metrics.
• Ranking and Share analysis
• What-if analysis
