Reference Data Model

The Reference Data Model contains the entities (Tariff plan, Product, etc) for a carrier in a Airline organization. These entities translate into dimensions (and hierarchies), which provide the essential structure for the Aggregate and Derived data models.

(Note: Reference entities are also used in the SELECT clauses of materialized view creation.)

OADM provides the following reference entity categories. These categories -- and entities for each -- are shown below. (Note: Although not shown here, a Time category and it's associated entities are also included in the Reference Data Model.)

• Booking & Service Class
• Airport
• Traffic Category
• Flight
• Segment
• Carrier
• Frequent Flyer
• Booking Office
