Oracle Cloud is available globally from 38 cloud regions, and we are adding new regions more than twice as fast as other providers. Our goal is to offer regions in proximity to our customers to meet their data sovereignty requirements while providing true disaster protection with multiple geographically distributed cloud regions in every country. We currently have at least two regions in nine countries and the European Union.
Oracle Cloud serves commercial businesses, the U.S. and UK governments, and the U.S. Department of Defense with distinct regions that meet specific security, compliance, and other tenancy requirements.
Oracle also has unique hybrid cloud options, including Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer, which offers Oracle Cloud services on the customer’s premises. This solution provides customers access to all cloud services—current and future—the same SLAs for availability, performance, and management, and consistent APIs for simplified management.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s (OCI) next-generation architecture provides a high-performing, resilient foundation for cloud services.
OCI’s physical and virtual network design maximizes performance and security, and enables the fast provisioning and on-demand consumption of more than 80 cloud services, including unique bare metal GPUs, clustered databases (Oracle Real Application Clusters), and Oracle Exadata database-optimized shapes. OCI is the only major provider that offers financially backed performance SLAs for networking, block storage, and storage within compute instances.
Within each cloud region, customers can distribute their applications across at least three fault domains, a grouping of hardware and infrastructure that enables protection against common hardware or power failures, while also supporting rolling maintenance. Multiple availability domains in some regions provide additional resiliency.
Each Oracle Cloud region contains at least three fault domains, which are groupings of hardware that form logical data centers for high availability and resilience to hardware and network failures. Some regions (Ashburn, Phoenix, Frankfurt, and London) provide further resilience to entire data centers through multiple availability domains (ADs), which each contain three fault domains.
For business continuity and compliance requirements, Oracle’s unique dual-region cloud strategy enables customers to deploy resilient applications in multiple geographically separated locations—without having sensitive data leave the country. To help customers plan data center deployments to meet application requirements and optimize their cloud infrastructure, OCI provides a no-cost inter-region latency dashboard that provides insights into real-time and historical latency for Oracle Cloud regions around the globe.
Ten geographies—nine countries and the European Union—currently host multiple cloud regions to enable geographic resiliency within their borders. Along with the five cloud regions currently operating in the EU, OCI has at least two cloud regions in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, all Oracle Government Cloud realms in the US and UK contain at least two cloud regions.
OCI offers more than 80 cloud services, with many more on their way. Our cloud services are open, and they embrace industry standards such as Kubernetes, CloudEvents, and Terraform so that customers can enjoy portability, lower overhead, and lower costs. We built our cloud to deliver the performance and scalability customers need to run the most demanding enterprise workloads and modern cloud native applications. For example, we uniquely offer Oracle Autonomous Database—which is optimized for transaction processing, data warehousing, or JSON, with automatic tuning, scaling, and patching—for both existing and new applications.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides superior cloud services for many workloads and optimizes multicloud operations, especially with Microsoft Azure. Oracle and Microsoft have a strategic partnership that enables joint customers to run workloads across the two clouds.
This partnership provides a low-latency, cross-cloud interconnect between OCI and Azure in 11 regions, federated identity for joint customers to deploy applications across both clouds, and a collaborative support model.
Customers can run full stack applications in a multicloud configuration while maintaining high-performance connectivity without requiring rearchitecture. They can also migrate existing applications or develop cloud native applications that use a mix of OCI and Azure services.

Oracle Cloud data centers incorporate physical security controls such as physical access, alarms, CCTV monitoring, 24/7 onsite guards, and more.
Our data centers align with Uptime Institute and Telecommunications Industry Association ANSI/TIA-942-A Tier 3 or Tier 4 standards and follow an N+2 redundancy methodology for critical equipment operation. Data centers use redundant power sources and maintain generator backups in case of widespread electrical outage.
Enables reliable, private data movement between regions for disaster protection, data processing, and data locality.
Temperature and humidity are controlled to align with industry standards, enabling optimal performance. Server rooms are equipped with fire-suppression systems to protect Oracle’s equipment.
Data center sites undergo a risk evaluation that considers environmental threats, power availability and stability, vendor reputation and history, neighboring facility functions (for example, high-risk manufacturing or high-threat targets), and geopolitical considerations, among other criteria.

Oracle today announced the opening of the first Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) region in Mexico, becoming the first major cloud provider to establish a dedicated cloud region in the country. The new region in the state of Querétaro will give Oracle’s Mexico-based customers, partners, and developers access to a wide range of cloud services with built-in security, disaster recovery, and industry-leading price-performance.
The new Querétaro region is Oracle’s 39th worldwide cloud region and will offer OCI and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications services to help organizations in Mexico modernize their operations, manage critical data, and develop multi-cloud architectures and cloud-native applications.
