SIMagine 2011 Developer Contest
Oracle has been a proud sponsor of the SIMagine innovation contest since 2000. This annual worldwide contest has brought together the talents of students, developers and young professionals to find creative applications for tomorrow's mobile, identity and now M2M applications.  This year Oracle is sponsoring the theme "Java Card Platform:  Connecting New Frontiers".  For the 2011 contest, over €55,000 in prizes will be awarded and a €15,000 cash award for the 1st place winner.  Deadline for submission is June 15, 2011.  For more details, click here.

Java Card technology is the leading open,interoperable platform for smart cards and secure tokens. The Java Card Specifications provide the basis for cross-platform and cross-vendor applet interoperability.

The Java Card Classic Development Kit includes a complete, standalone development environment in which applets written for the Java Card platform can be developed and tested.
