MapViewer Extensions for JDeveloper 10g (9.0.5.1 or higher) The MapViewer extensions for JDeveloper 10g include 3 jar files. * FILES -- mvclient.jar MapViewer Client Java API. -- mvpalette.jar MapViewer JSP tags that will appear in JDeveloper's Component Palette. -- mvconnection.jar MapViewer metadata connection, a special kind of connection that you can create in the JDeveloper's Connections navigator. Through a MapViewer metadata connection you can browse the existing mapping metadata such as styles, themes and basemaps. * INSTALLATION To install, simply copy these 3 jars into the JDeveloper's extensions directory, which is usually $JDEV_HOME/jdev/lib/ext. Then restart JDeveloper and you are all set. * HOW TO USE To use the MapViewer Tag, simply open or create a new JSP page, and then from the Component Palette drop-down list, select "MapViewer Tag Library". To create a new MapViewer metadata connection, go to Connections - Navigator, and then right click on the Connections node. You will see an option "New MapViewer Metadata Connection..." which will launch a wizard. * FINAL NOTE This extension works only with production version of JDeveloper 10g (9.0.5.1) or higher. For an extension that works with an earlier version of JDeveloper, visit JDeveloper's extension exchange web page on OTN.
