Criteria | Supporting Features | Remarks (e.g., definition, equivalent facilitation, scope of support provided) |
1194.21(a) When software is designed to run on a system that has a keyboard, product functions shall be executable from a keyboard where the function itself or the result of performing a function can be discerned textually. | Product has been developed to conform to this standard subject to the remarks on the right. | The app was tested for accessibility support using the following categories of tests: - Tap gesture to select a control/link. Examples include the different icons on the app's home page, including Options, Alerts, Recent, Favorites, Dashboards, Local, Search, etc...
- Double-tap gesture to activate the control/link.
- Selecting a control was recognized by Voice Over and the corresponding text for the control was read out by the device.
- The Prompts bar on a Dashboard page was tested for Voice Over support: all controls in the prompts bar, including the prompt name, value box, checkbox, slider low/high value textbox, radiogroup button, apply button, etc...
- Different user options available in the app, like in the Settings panel of the app, different menu options in the app (when viewing content or when viewing the different tabs in the app), were tested for accessibility compliance, using voice-over accessibility controls.
- A bluetooth keyboard connected to the iPad device was also used to test data entry, where available, in the app.
Exceptions: - Bug: 13715304 - "Alert 0" button is read aloud after options with 2 finger flick up in dashboard page or any home page like search recent, local or favorite, even when there are no alerts on the page. There is no loss of functionality here.
- Bug 13698664 - User can only update a prompts slider using the textbox. The slider bar usage is not usable with voice over on.
- Bug 14028139 - Right-click options are not available to a user on the app in accessibility mode. Right-click options provide access to advanced functionality in the BI views to users. For example, a right-click option on a table view provides the user with the option to sort a column in an ascending or descending order.
- Bug 14052103 - Carousel mode is not supported in accessibility mode. The user would need to switch to the "List" view available as an alternative.
