The hardware physically and electrically presents an industry standard RS232, USB, & ethernet communications. Other proprietary chip set protocols for TTL logic may be used for device specific connectivity. The external hardware I/O are controlled by component level firmware and operating system software that are covered by additional device level VPATs.
