Making Way For Mid-Size
Updates to Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud have always presented our customers with a whole host of new developments and functionality, and the latest version – Release 11 – continues that tradition.
By delivering the latest tools and technologies via the Cloud, the latest version of Oracle Supply Chain Management removes the barriers around cost and resource, and, crucially, enables mid-sized businesses to phase their adoption of features and functions as and when they need them.
Those who upgrade to the latest version will not only be able to enjoy enhancements to the tools they will be familiar with from Release 10 (helping to manage innovation, product development and commercialization, transportation and global trade management, logistics and order fulfilment), they will also have access to two entirely new products – Oracle Planning Central Cloud and Oracle Manufacturing Cloud.
As a result, we can confidently say that Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud is the most complete end-to-end supply chain management solution run entirely in the Cloud.

Oracle Manufacturing Cloud has been introduced to make it easier for companies to set up and run production operations which include multiple complex processes such as production and cost management.

Extracting the right information at the right time is crucial for any business working in the modern, smartphone-driven, information-anywhere age. Yet there are still many organizations using supply chain applications designed ten or twenty years ago. These can rely on spreadsheet-like systems which present complex data that has to be painstakingly manipulated in order to gain useful insight. For example, I know of a shipping firm that needs 48 hours to produce a quote for a prospective customer. In the modern age that’s simply not acceptable when you can book a flight or hotel room in seconds.
