Executive Vice President, Oracle Database Server Technologies
Andrew Mendelsohn is executive vice president for database server technologies at Oracle. He’s responsible for products and services centered around Oracle Database, including development, test, and product management of much of the core Oracle Database product. In addition, Mendelsohn’s responsibilities encompass cloud services, including Autonomous Data Warehouse and Autonomous Transaction Processing on shared infrastructure, Cloud SQL, Data Safe, and Big Data; developer tools such as Application Express (APEX) and SQL Developer; and database security products including Key Vault and Audit Vault/Database Firewall. Finally, Mendelsohn also runs customer support for Oracle Database Cloud Services and Oracle Database on Exadata.
Mendelsohn began his career at Oracle as a developer on Oracle Database 5.1 in 1984. Prior to joining Oracle, he worked at HP and ESVEL.
Mendelsohn holds a BSE in electrical engineering and computer science from Princeton University and did graduate work in computer science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Vice President, Oracle Cloud Systems EMEA
Reinier van Grieken is the vice president for Cloud Systems in EMEA and is responsible for the hardware (systems, storage, and appliance) and engineered systems business. In this role he works with sales teams and business leaders to develop a culture committed to transforming organisations by simplifying IT.
Van Grieken has had a career of over 23 years with Oracle where he has held many different roles. Within the Systems organization he was vice president Server, Storage and ODA EMEA and prior to that UKI, BeNeLux and Iberia Systems Lead. Before that, he was managing director of Oracle Netherlands.
Van Grieken attended the London Business School.
Head IT Operation, Information Technology, Union Bank
Charles Arabome is the current Head, IT Operations at Union Bank of Nigeria, one of Nigeria’s most respected Banks. In his role, he manages the UNIX estate infrastructure team responsible for the overall systems operations of the Bank. Prior to taking on this role, He worked at United Bank for Africa (UBA) where he headed both the Systems Administration team as well as the Global Datacenter team.
Charles prides himself as a strategic thinker and leader with a strong desire for excellence. In his spare time, Charles prefers to do a lot of research.
