GBR Postcode Format Check |
The GBR Postcode Format Check processor checks for British postcodes in an attribute, and validates them syntactically, validating that the postcode conforms to a correct format for British postcodes.
Note that GBR Postcode Format Check uses a reference list of regular expressions to check for postcodes in a valid format.
Use the GBR Postcode Format Check processor to validate that British postcodes have been entered correctly.
Note that the GBR Postcode Format Check processor is designed to check that an attribute contains a syntactically correct GBR postcode only. If the attribute contains a valid GBR postcode, and other data, it will fail the check (though leading and trailing whitespace can be ignored using an option).
Similarly, if you use GBR Postcode Format Check on more than one attribute, the check will be passed provided the attributes form a whole, syntactically valid, GBR postcode only. If any other data exists in those attributes, the check will fail.
Any number of attributes that you wish to check for valid GBR postcodes, or multiple attributes that comprise a GBR postcode (for example, if Outcode and Incode are in separate attributes).
