Change the Name of SmartHelp

You can change the button name, tooltip and other related messages containing SmartHelp. Since SmartHelp is part of the Player package, you must customize the Player publishing style. See Customize Publishing Styles in the Content Development manual for more information.

Note: Changing the name of the SmartHelp button will not change existing directory structure, filenames, and documented references in the product.

It s recommended that you change the name in the Library prior to publishing content and deploying SmartHelp to the end users.

To change the name of SmartHelp.

1. Navigate to the System/Publishing/Styles/<category>/Player/lang/<language>/stdhemi/hemi/smarthelp folder in the Library.
2. Open the strings.resources.xml file in any text editor.
3. Update the PRODUCTNAME value with the desired name.
4. Save the file.
5. Repeat for additional languages, as necessary.
