The term machine represents a physical computer that hosts
one or more Oracle WebLogic Server instances. Machine identifies a particular
physical piece of hardware. A machine is used to associate a computer with the
Managed Servers that it hosts and it runs a supported operating system platform.
You are an application server administrator in Dizzyworld Corporation. The Dizzyworld system architects have decided to simulate the production environment by configuring machines for the dizzyworld domain to host business applications and use the Administration Server to configure and monitor Managed Servers.
Before you start the tasks, make sure that your system environment meets the following requirements:
Software Requirements
The system should have Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3 installed.
Setup Requirements
You should have completed the following OBEs:
To create machines, perform the following steps:

In the Oracle WebLogic Server Console, under the Domain Structure section, click Machines.
|

Notice that the "Summary of Machines" section appears. Click Lock and Edit and then click New.
|

In the "Create a New Machine" section, enter the name as dizzyMachine1 and select Unix from the Machine OS drop-down list. Click OK.
|

Notice the message Machine created successfully. Click New.
|
| 5. |
In the "Create a New Machine" section, enter the name as dizzyMachine2 and select Unix from the Machine OS drop-down list. Click OK.

Notice the message Machine created successfully.

In Change Center, click Activate Changes. Notice the message All changes have been activated. No restarts are necessary.

Notice that the machines are listed in the "Summary of Machines" section.

You can now add managed instances to the newly created machines. To configure the machines, perform the following steps:

In the "Summary of Machines" section, click dizzyMachine1.
|

From Change Center, click Lock & Edit.
|

Under the "Settings for dizzyMachine1" section, click the Configuration tab and then the Servers tab.

In the Servers section, click Add.
|

In the "Add a Server to Machine" section, select the Select an existing server, and associate it with this machine option. Then select dizzy1 from the drop-down list. Click Next.

Click Finish and view the message Server created successfully.

In the "Summary of Machines" section, click dizzyMachine2.
