Purpose

This tutorial covers installation and configuration of Disclosure Management 11.1.2.

Time to Complete

Approximately 2 hours.

Overview

Oracle® Hyperion Disclosure Management 11.1.2 (Disclosure Management) enables organizations to centralize and effectively manage the development of XBRL instance documents and submissions now required by many regulatory bodies. As part of Oracle's financial close solution, Disclosure Management shares a common foundation and seamlessly integrates with other Oracle Performance Management applications, such as Oracle® Financial Close Management 11.1.2.

Disclosure Management comprises the following components:

Disclosure Management XBRL Taxonomy Designer (XBRL Taxonomy Designer)– XBRL Taxonomy Designer is a desktop application that is used to create, modify, and extend XBRL taxonomies to suit your organization's regulatory financial reporting requirements.

Disclosure Management Add-In for Microsoft Office(Disclosure Management Mapping Tool )–Organizations benefit from the flexibility of the report-level and reusable data source-level mapping available in the Disclosure Management Mapping Tool. This tool is an extension of the Smart View add-in, and is exposed in Microsoft Word and Excel. The process of mapping, validating, generating and then viewing XBRL instance documents can be performed in Word or Excel. Using the validation engine, organizations can be confident that disclosures are reported accurately and are complete.

Mapping Tool for Financial Reporting– When viewing Financial Reporting reports in EPM Workspace, data source-level mapping can be performed using the Disclosure Mapping Tool exposed in the Workspace client. This enables mapping of XBRL taxonomy concepts to metadata members in a report grid.

Disclosure Management Report Manager–Disclosure Management provides for a collaborative creation of XBRL documents by way of Report Manager. With Report Manager, Excel and Word documents are embedded into a master document

Mapping Manager– XBRL mappings performed in the Mapping Tool Add-In and Financial Reporting can be easily managed in Mapping Manager. This web based client is exposed in EPM Workspace for centrally maintaining your organizations XBRL mappings.

Instance Viewers–In Word or Excel, a user-friendly rendition of your organizations XBRL instance documents can be viewed in a generic instance viewer or the SEC viewer (the SEC viewer must be installed to view any instance documents that uses US-GAAP related taxonomies).

In this tutorial, you install and configure Disclosure Management 11.1.2 components and the dependent Enterprise Performance Management products. Disclosure Management and the related EPM components can be downloaded from the Oracle e-delivery web site: http://edelivery.oracle.com.

From edelivery, ensure you download the complete set of required components to successfully run Disclosure Management, for example:

Scenario
