Creating Scope Items

  

Scope items are the materials needed to build what is defined in the PBS. Include information such as planned quantity, install hours rate, and planned hours. A project can contain thousands of scope items. They can be created manually or via import template.

  

Scope items are then assigned to work packages to manage the use of the materials. Progress is tracked against scope assignments within work packages.

  

With a project open, select Scope, Scope Items to display the PBS hierarchy and begin creating scope items. Scope items can be added only to the lowest node of the PBS hierarchy -- the leaf node.
