Leave Management

Absence Management

Oracle Fusion Absence Management is a configurable and flexible global solution that enables organizations to manage absences of their workforce. The framework provides ability to define both complex and diverse absence plans. It integrates with the Oracle Cloud Global Payroll and Time and Labor products and provides dedicated work areas for the roles of Administrator and Employees. Simplified user interface is provided for employees’ absence data entry.

Concurrent Absences

Configure an absence type to enable concurrency with another absence type. This enables concurrent absences at the same time and date and therefore, entitlements from multiple plans during an absence.

Deferred Processing for Subsequent Absences

Control the timing when an absence record is updated and subsequent absences are recalculated.

Absence Re-Evaluation for Schedule Changes

Update absence duration and entitlements for a worker when the assigned work schedule is changed.

Termination Processing

Streamline employment termination for absence transactions. Absences scheduled on or after the termination date will be updated to reflect the termination. Accrual plan enrollments will also be terminated and calculated, factoring in the termination date.

Manage Absence Records Post-Approval Issues

Manage issues that can arise after an absence record is approved.

Absence Management supports the following United Kingdom (UK) features and functionality:

UK Statutory Holiday Calculation

Calculate the statutory holiday entitlement, that is, the number of holidays accrued by a person in a holiday year, by using the sample fast formula. Use the sample formula by associating it with your absence accrual plan.

Statutory Sick Pay

Manage the statutory entitlement, that is, the number of days of the absence, which are paid or unpaid. The predefined formulas provided are attached to an absence plan and absence type to calculate eligibility and entitlement to statutory absences and payment, if appropriate.

Statutory Adoption Pay

Manage the statutory entitlement, that is, the number of days of the absence which are paid or unpaid. The predefined formulas provided are attached to an absence plan and absence type to calculate eligibility and entitlement to statutory absences and payment if appropriate.

Statutory Paternity Pay

Absence Element Template Enhancements

Simplify the definition of Absence elements through the enhanced Absence Element Template. When using the Manage Elements task, you are no longer required to create separate absence payment elements when setting up an absence. The Absence element is now also the payment element.

Workforce Management Transactional Business Intelligence

Oracle Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence is a real time, self-service reporting solution offered to all Oracle Cloud application users to create ad hoc reports and analyze them for daily decision-making. Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence provides human resources managers and specialists, business executives, and line managers the critical workforce information to analyze workforce costs, staffing, compensation, performance management, talent management, succession planning, and employee benefits.

Support Absence Qualified Entitlement Plans

Enhance your absence reporting with the inclusion of qualification plans. The Absence subject area has been enhanced to include the qualification plan entitlements such as provided, taken, and remaining. Leave agreements and certifications are also available for reporting.
