Column Definitions:
Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.
UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.
| Ready for Use by End Users Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features. |
Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing. |

Asset Management is an integration between Knowledge Foundation (KF) and Oracle Content Management. Authors will be able to upload images and other assets to OCM from the KF authoring console. They can use those assets in KF answers. Any asset that is embedded, whether as an image or a link, will inherit the visibility restrictions of the content in which it’s embedded.
Including links and images in knowledge, articles are sometimes the easiest and most effective way to communicate key information. But until this integration, if an author wanted to embed an image or include a link to an asset, they would have to find somewhere to upload the asset. Some customers used the file storage meant for Customer Portal assets, which was quite expensive. Others opted for hosting their images on third-party servers. In either case, adding assets to answers was a tedious process. With the new integration, including an image in an answer is as simple as dragging and dropping it into the answer. It will automatically be uploaded to OCM and protected by the content’s visibility restrictions.
Steps to Enable
The customer will need to set up Oracle Cloud and OCM accounts. Then they will need to configure OCM and update some B2C config settings. Full instructions can be found in Answer 12008.
