Initial Document Creation

Oracle Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud

This document provides an overview of the next major functional update to Oracle Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud Service.

New Features

The following new features are available in this update to Oracle Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud Service.

Configuration of IP Whitelist (Network Restricted Access)

As an Identity Domain Administrator or System Administrator, you can now create a whitelist or blacklist of IP addresses, subnets, and Classless Inter-Domain Routing that should be permitted to access each service instance. For more information, see "Set Up Network Restricted Access".

Resetting of Default Automated Maintenance Window

If you did not reset the default start time of the daily service maintenance window for your instance, Oracle will reset the start time from the default (midnight Pacific Standard Time) to a more appropriate time (between 11:00 pm and 4:00 am local data center time) based on the historical usage data of the service instance. Resetting the start time based on historical data will improve service maintenance and reduce the duration of the maintenance window.

If Oracle changes the service maintenance window start time, System Administrators of the instance will receive an email notification alerting them to the change. If the new start time is deemed to be undesirable, System Administrators can reset it using the instructions in "Set Daily Maintenance Time".

Report Packages

Microsoft PowerPoint-Based Report Packages

The collaborative development of PowerPoint presentations is now supported. You can create and work with report packages that can be output as PowerPoint presentations. All phases of the development process are supported for PowerPoint-based report packages.

PDF Printing

You can generate PDF files from Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud. For example, you can publish a final report in PDF, which helps secure the document and prevents changes to the report. Additionally, you can download doclet, review and sign off documents as PDF files. You can also view a PDF report using a PDF viewer.

Note: This option is available only on the web and is not available from within Smart View.

Image Commenting

Support for commenting on images, in the same way you comment on text, has been added in this update. Simply place a pin on the location of the image and enter your comment text.

Search Functionality in Review Center, Preview, and Sign-Off

You can search a document's text from within the document viewer.

Thumbnail View for Report Package Pages

You can view thumbnails of the report pages from within the document viewer.

Applications

Artifact Locking

To prevent concurrent editing of application and model artifacts, simultaneous operations on the same artifact can no longer be done. For example, you cannot delete a model while another user is deploying that model. In addition, you can now open dimensions for viewing and editing. In edit mode, the dimension is locked, preventing other users from editing it.

Smart View

Microsoft PowerPoint-Based Report Packages

Smart View support is now available for the collaborative development of PowerPoint presentations. You can create and work with report packages that can be output as PowerPoint presentations. All phases of the development process are supported for PowerPoint-based report packages.

Image Commenting

Support for commenting on images, in the same way you comment on text, has been added in this update. Simply place a pin on the location of the image and enter your comment text.

Home Panel

The Smart View client now includes a Home panel to assist you with Enterprise Performance Management Cloud Service tasks. You can view a summary of incomplete tasks and active report packages and navigate to items requiring action.
