Inclusion of Audit Attributes for Management Ledger Period Balances

Management ledger presentation layer will additionally have execution time.

Users will be able to see the Start time, End time in the presentation layer for Balance Computation Dashboard.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

New Dashboard in AFCS Reporting Layer

The Management ledger balances/movements can be seen in the new analysis created on the dashboard.

This will help the user to view the management ledger balances on a new dashboard/report. Contract balances will be shown by the Effective date.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

AFCS Will Enable Intercompany Segment Based Reconciliation

The intercompany segment is enabled for reconciliation like any other segment within AFCS.

This feature enables users to use Intercompany as a segment for reconciliation and see it on the reporting layer as well.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Sampling of Error Records If DQ Execution Threshold Is Breached

Support to stop the execution of a data quality group where a large number of error records are expected when the threshold is breached, through a new DQ run level optional parameter.

This feature enables users to stop the execution of a long-running data quality group upon a threshold breach where a large number of error records are expected; this is done through a run-level optional parameter. This helps provide a sample of error records till the threshold is breached.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Improvements to Transaction Based Processing in AFCS

Enhancement to enable explicit tracking of Line Numbers through ERP has been enabled for transaction-based processing in AFCS. The enhancement also improves the performance of the decomposition process.

Improvements to transaction-based processing and alignment with passthrough processing AFCS.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Continuous ERP Journal Ingestion and Decomposition

This feature allows users to run the Journal ingestion and decomposition process incrementally multiple times a day.

This feature helps users to process journals from ERP throughout the day in an incremental manner.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Hierarchy Flattening for Sourced Dimensions

The feature to flatten hierarchy data has been added to the Data Ingestion component. The hierarchy flattening component in the Data ingestion definition allows users to use input files in a parent-child structure and convert them into a flattened dataset during the ingestion process.

This feature helps users to flatten hierarchy data and ingest it into AFCS without any additional configuration outside the system.  These attributes post-flattening will be available in reporting layer as well.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Metadata Migration Between Instances

This feature allows users to migrate various AFCS objects from one AFCS instance to another. Following are the objects which can be migrated:

  • Connectors
  • Subledger Applications
  • Reconciliation rules
  • Adjustment Rules
  • Process Pipelines

This feature allows users to copy configurations from one instance to another instance.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Extend Management Ledger Segments

This feature allows users to extend Management ledger segments for the balance computation process.

Users will have the choice to extend as many segments as required for the balance computation process.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Flexibility to Use the Translation Process as Part of the Balance Computation Process

This feature allows users to include or exclude translation as part of the balance computation process.

This enhancement solves the problem of the inability to exclude a task from an AFCS Process Pipeline. Based on the user choice, the translation process will be included in the balance computation process.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Enhanced Custom Data Quality Rule to Support Comparison of Alphanumeric Values

The current custom data quality rule supports the comparison of numeric and date values only.

The custom data quality rule is enhanced to support the comparison of alphanumeric values.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Support of User-Defined Filters for Custom Data Quality Rules

This feature allows users to define and associate filters to new or existing custom data quality rules.

The Custom DQ Filters will allow users to define data set filters in addition to the default MISDATE filter.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

The filters must be defined on attributes on the entity on which the DQ is defined.

Define a List of Values for New and Existing Custom Business Terms of Type Flag or Indicator

This feature allows users to define a list of values for new or existing custom business terms of type Flag or Indicator.

Based on the list of values configured for given custom business terms, the system auto-generates Data quality rules.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Ability to Disable/Deactivate Nodes in a Dimension Table Even for Incremental Data Load Use Case

Currently disabling nodes in a dimension table is allowed only for a complete snapshot load. With this enhancement, users can disable a node even for an incremental data load.

There is no need for a complete snapshot load as users can load incremental data even while disabling selected nodes.

Steps to Enable

To enable this feature, a new attribute named “Closed Flag” has been added to all the dimensions.

Tips And Considerations

The feature to enable a disabled node is not part of it and will be added later.

Support for Reconciliation of Management Ledger Balance Information Against Contracts

AFCS will now support ML balance reconciliation against contracts held in AFCS product processor entities.

This enhancement will facilitate the reconciliation of contract balance figures against those held at management ledger grain (CoA and ML segments), yielding finer-grained break information.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Alignment of Average Calculation Logic in ERP Financials Cloud

AFCS will now use a count based on an elapsed portion of a given period across all balance records in a given ledger instead of varying ones specific to each record.

This enhancement will align the average calculation method in AFCS with that used by ERP Financials Cloud.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Generation of Control File with Data Extraction Process Output

AFCS will support the generation of control files alongside data files when running Data Extraction processes.

This enhancement will provide verification/validation information for use with extracted data files.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Persistence of Day and Period-to-Date Movement Information

AFCS will compute and persist day and period (month, quarter, and year) to date credit and debit movement figures.

This enhancement will provide day and period-to-date movement information in addition to currently available balance/average balance information.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

The Service Will Allow Modification of a List of Event Types for an SLA Even After It Is Configured, Registered, and in Use

Sub-Ledger Applications configured by users in the service can now be modified to include new event types even if they are being used to publish data to ERP Financials Cloud.

This enhancement will allow changes to be made to SLAs that are in use without currently existing restrictions.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Persistence and Reporting of CoA and ML Segment Values

Members of each dimension mapped to the CoA Segment or ML Segment via AFCS UI are made available as Business Terms in balance computation, decomposition-result, and reconciliation-result persistence entities.

With this enhancement, CoA and ML Segment values against AFCS Management Ledger balance figures are available for Extraction and Analytics from persistence entities.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Audit Attributes for OOTB SYS ML Balance Extract

The Standard Audit attributes such as Average Daily Balance Update Date and Time, and Balance Update Date and Time are made available as part of the extract.

Audit-enabling information on update date and time will now be available against PTD and PTD Average balance figures in AFCS Management Ledger.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Transaction Summary and Common Account Summary Result Area Population

The PMF Pipeline "Result Area Entities Data Population" is enhanced to support Transaction Summary and Common Account Summary Result Area population.

AFCS will now persist transactions and contracts summaries from which reporting and extraction can be performed.

Steps to Enable

The user must manually execute a PMF Pipeline "Result Area Entities Data Population" to retrieve the data in the Result Area tables.

Tips And Considerations
