Column Definitions:

Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.

UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.

Dashboard to Display the Execution Details for the AFCS Processes

Currently, to view the progress of an ongoing process execution, the user must navigate to the AFCS UI or use an API to view the details of the running process.

A PMF dashboard has been created to enhance the user experience, which provides the execution details of all the PMF process at a more granular level.

ML-PP Balance Reconciliation to Support Account Dimension

ML-PP Balance Reconciliation will now support Account Dimension as a detailed reconciliation.

AFCS application is enhanced to reconcile the balance between the Management Ledger and Product Processor Type with the account dimension as a reconciliation dimension and has been added to the Reconciliation Reports.

Support to Counterparty in Reconciliation Module

GL-ML Balance Reconciliation will now support the Counterparty dimension.

Counterparty dimension has been added to the General Ledger to the Management Ledger Reconciliation Type and to the Reconciliation Reports.

Metadata Migration for Additional Objects

This feature allows users to migrate various AFCS objects from one AFCS instance to another. Following are the objects which can be migrated:

  • GL Recon Entities
  • GL Recon Type configuration
  • CoA/ML Segment Extensions
  • Catalog Extensions

This feature allows users to copy configurations from one instance to another instance.

AFCS Will Now Support Usage of Contracts, Transactions and Journals in Life, General and Health Insurance Domains in Its Catalog

Addition of Catalog content to support life, general and health insurance domains across AFCS processes.

Insurance contracts in life, general and health domains can now be processed with AFCS for balance computation and balance reconciliation.

Availability of Additional Named Extracts

The following Named Extracts are now available:

Management Ledger balance data As Of Date per ledger will be available with:

  • all relevant segments
  • audit attributes
  • parent information for General Ledger & Business Unit
  • Balance Update Start and End time

Users will also have the option to filter data by Hierarchy Code.

Support for Ledger Wise Segment Mapping, Journal Ingestion, GL Ingestion, and Balance Decomposition

ERP allows free choice of CoA segments variable by ledger. AFCS has been enhanced to support this feature.

This feature allows you to configure Ledger wise segment mapping, Journal Ingestion, GL Ingestion, and Balance decomposition.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Availability of Additional API End points for PMF Dashboard

The following new APIs are available as part of this enhancement:

  • Process instance with start/end time and current status.
  • Activities with start/end time and current status of a process instance.
  • Fetch all events of an activity.

The Dashboard details can be fetched via public APIs.

Alert Users While Publishing Custom DQs That Are Not Mapped to Any DQ Groups

Service alerts restrict users while submitting a Custom DQ action if any of the custom rules in the action are not mapped to at least one group.

With this enhancement, the service alerts users to ensure to map the rules to a group much before the publishing process.

Enhancement to SCD Dimension Retire Feature to End/Retire the Dimension Records for an Incremental Load

Ability to support a closed flag in custom dimension entities to retire the nodes. The closed flag will be added to Create Dimension as an implicit attribute.

With this enhancement, users will be able to retire the node in custom entities.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Additional Catalog Extension Error Messages

The error messages have been enhanced to display additional information, such as the action name, action owner name, and action performed. In addition, if the object is locked and the details of the user who has performed the action are also displayed in the messages.

This enhancement will help to deep dive into the details of the actions during Catalog Extension.

Enhancement to Data Type Length

The Legal Entity name has been enhanced to support up to 255 characters.

With this enhancement, the Legal Entity name can hold a lengthy name.

Enhancement to DQ Error Details Report

The Data Source column will be made available as part of the DQ Reporting engine tables.

With this feature, the Data Source will be a column in the DQ Error Details report.

Ability to Bring Back Retired Dimension Members

The retired dimension members can now be brought back as part of subsequent SCD load by updating the Closed Flag column to null or 'N'.

It allows users to enable again a deactivated or retired node.

Align Sub Ledger Journals Used by AFCS for Balance Computation with Those Posted to GL

AFCS will only ingest those journals from AHCS that have a corresponding 'POSTED' status in GL.

Support for Detailed Information for Errors During Object Migration

Object Migration Framework is enhanced to display detailed logs.

A new column "Status Message" has been added in the View log screen of Object Migration, which provides a reason for failure while exporting or importing a given object. This column will also contain success message details.

Unique Sequence Generator

The data ingestion component in AFCS now allows users to generate unique identifiers for dimension data. This is enabled via a new transformation component in the data ingestion definitions.

Users will be able to generate unique identifiers for AFCS dimensions even though source systems do not provide it.

Metadata Migration for Additional Objects - Data Quality Framework

Migrate various AFCS objects from one AFCS instance to another. Users can migrate the following objects:

  • DQ Setup - Custom DQ Rules / Groups

Users can copy configurations from one instance to another instance.

Unique values for Numeric Identifiers in Snapshot Data

The Numeric identifier attribute is expected to be mandatory and unique in a dimension entity. Service shall validate the numeric identifiers are unique for a snapshot data load for a dimension entity.

Users can identify duplicate numeric identifiers for dimensional data in case of a snapshot load. AFCS will generate data quality checks to identify such duplicates.

Tips And Considerations

Note that the duplicates and changes in numeric IDs for the same business key of dimension cannot be identified for incremental data load. This is scheduled to be addressed in a future release.

Placeholders for Flattened Hierarchies of Organization Unit in Balance Computation Engine, Balance Computation Results and Results Subject Areas

Additional placeholder attributes have been provided for Organization Unit dimension.

Attributes have been provided to support flattened structure of Organization Unit hierarchies.

Additional Information in Seeded Data Extraction

Additional movement metrics have been made available as part of the SYS ML Balance As of Date, and SYS ML Balance As of Effective Date Extract definitions. They are:

  • Accounting Balance As Of Given Date In Entered Currency
  • Accounting Balance As Of Given Date In Functional Currency
  • Credit Movement For The Given Day In Entered Currency
  • Credit Movement For The Given Day In Functional Currency
  • Debit Movement For The Given Day In Entered Currency
  • Debit Movement For The Given Day In Functional Currency
  • Net Movement In A Day In Entered Currency

Movement data can be extracted in entered and functional currencies of designation, alongside balance information.

Facilitate Ingestion of Movement History Data ad Computation of Balance Without Accounting Rules or Decomposition Treatment

Post balance initiation, movement history can be brought into AFCS and balance computed off it, without data moving through ERP FAH or being decomposed.

History data can now be moved into and processed by AFCS.

Steps to Enable

  • Initialise balance
  • Bring in movement data with accurate CoA and ML segment values
  • Execute designated process pipeline

Tips And Considerations

All BCE prerequisite steps must be completed before executing the pipeline.

Support for User-Choice of Whether Future-Dated Journals Are Published or Not, Configurable per Sub-Ledger Application

AFCS will provide a choice per SLA of whether future-dated journals (where header event date corresponding to accounting date in FAH/GL > as-of date) should be published or not. When user choice is not to publish future-dated journals, AFCS will only publish non-future-dated journals from what has been sourced.

This enhancement will permit optimized flow of information through AFCS and ERP Financials Cloud with no operational user intervention.

Steps to Enable

Register per-SLA user choice of whether future-dated journals should be published or not.

Support Ingestion of Appropriate GL Balance Figures When Adjustment Periods Are in Use

As GL balance is extracted and ingested, for such periods with a corresponding adjustment period, AFCS will extract, ingest and host YTD balance information corresponding to the 'adjustment period'. No user action will be necessary.

This enhancement will ensure that accurate GL balance figures are obtained and hosted even for periods with a corresponding adjustment period.

Support for Partial and Case-Sensitive Search in the PMF Dashboard

PMF dashboard search is now enhanced to be case-agnostic and support wildcard search.

Users can now search for objects in the dashboard without having to provide the complete activity name, process name, or instance ID. As the search feature is case-agnostic, users can type their search strings in upper or lower case.

Availability of Public API Endpoints for PMF Dashboard

A new API to fetch all the process/activity events based on the Process Instance ID.
