Multi-Dimensional Balance Sheet Structure (MDBSS)
MDBSS is a nextgen cutting-edge User Interface that enables the creation of a user-defined dimension. This is a new add-on to the existing KPDs (Key processing Dimension).
The MDBSS is an ad-hoc enabler that supports hierarchy creation in real time. This is a differentiator from the other KPDs that exist today. MDBSS enables customer data to integrate with a user-defined organizational hierarchy that is used to visually represent an institution's balance sheet in one or a combination of dimensions at any determined level of detail. The MDBSS is similar to existing key processing dimensions and their associated hierarchies (e.g. Product), but instead of being constructed of nodes and leaf for only a single dimension view, the MDBSS is constituted from one or a combination of dimensions that may be either KPD or simple dimensions (i.e. dimensions with no hierarchical arrangement, like currency) or any mixture of both.

Key Resources
Dynamic Deterministic processing via New Add and No New Business forecast methods.
The new Forecast Balance UI in ALMCS facilitates a single window concept that enables users to define the forecast balance method using an MDBSS and a given time bucket. Users are required to use the MDBSS as the sole balance sheet hierarchy for Dynamic processing. All balances will use the average across bucket method (distributed) by default. This facilitates seamless computation of new business timing for new originations and there is no longer a "timing" designation. New business records are now output in detail cashflows and can be easily reconciled, a major improvement from previous functionality.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Key Resources
Pricing Margins are used to price new businesses at origination. These are mapped to an IRC and the spread input so the coupon rate on the origination date can be computed.
The new Pricing Margin UI in ALMCS is built to facilitate a single window concept that enables users define the Pricing Margin using an MDBSS and a given time bucket. The ability to configure side-by-side and operating under a single umbrella, focuses the vertical and horizontal views for better visualization during rule configuration. This is a much improved user interface requiring significantly less navigation.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Key Resources
The Product Characteristics User Interface supports new business criteria for seamless forecasting executions.
The Product Characteristics UI enables seamless forecasting executions. Product Characteristics rules are placed on an MDBSS node to be used in dynamic processing. These instruct the application on what key new business contractual and behavioral features are to be included such as amortization, adjustable type, compounding, day count, and other key features that enable a new business. The new Product Characteristics UI will be based on next-gen UI formatting (i.e. the Redwood schema) and utilizes modern browser features to minimize the number of clicks, pop-up windows, and warnings, to provide an enhanced user experience.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
